NBA Releases New Format for 78th Draft
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced a significant change to its annual draft format. The 2024 NBA draft, the 78th edition of the event, will be held over two nights instead of the traditional one-night format. This change is intended to provide more time for player evaluation and analysis by teams.

The early entry eligibility deadline for the 2024 NBA draft is 11:59 p.m. ET on April 29, 2024. Players who declare for the draft will have until June 13, 2024, to withdraw their names from consideration. The draft lottery will be held on May 14, 2024, to determine the draft order for the top 14 picks.
